This microphone is for indoor Video recordings, I mean if you are a techy guy and want to record videos just by sitting on your computer table in a room then it is the best partner for you. And If you are a vlogger you can also use it but for that purpose you need some sort of voice filter software to reduce noise as there is much noise in the outdoor videos.
You can also use it for tiktok videos as its best for indoor recordings. The Quality of Boya By-M1 microphone is quite premium. And when you use it, just feels good, also the extensions that comes with mic are helpful. I will show you some pictures of the contents that come with the microphone. (1)The Quality of microphone is Normal, I mean its not too good to use for singing songs or other deep operations, But if you want to record some youtube video tutorial or other stuff it can work for you. The good thing I found was the (2)very long wire, you can easily record videos sitting at distant place from camera / Mobile easily. Boya By-M1 provides a cable length of about 45-50ft which is equivalent to about 5m. (3) the noise filter circuit is i think for DSLR cameras because it works on a small battery cell and if you are using it with mobile phone, you don't need that cell so it means on mobile mode it does not use any circuit process to filter noise. (4) Foam is quit of good quality and looks fine when you adjust it on the microphone. I hope it will have some effect on voice recording too but its just for a little noise filtration. You can use it without foam top as it doesn't make any large difference on voice quality. (5) Collar Clip is for hanging purpose, If you want to clip this microphone on your tee-shirt or collar, that component helps you a lot. Just press it against the mic neck and it will fit there. Quality is also good, Its made up of plastic and metal. (6) Sound System Pin is a Plus point and component if you want to use your microphone with big sound system then you can just convert your ordinary microphone into a big one. Just insert your normal mic pin in the back of converter pin and that's all you need to do. (7) All of these things are wrapped inside a leather black bag which is labeled as BOYA. The quality of bag is quit premium, i liked it and I hope you will also like it.
The price of this microphone is about Rs 1300- Rs 1500/- in Pakistani Rupee. But if you are from other country I can't say a price okay! Which Devices it Supports
Boya By-M1 is like 3 in 1 microphone because it supports multiple devices like you can use it with Microphone , DSLR Cameras and Laptop / Computers. As I said earlier, when you use it with mobile phone, you have to turn off the little button on noise filter circuit. You can see in the image that while using with DSLR cameras, You have to insert a small battery and then turn on the button to camera. If you don't do this, your voice will not be recorded in the video on Mobile Phone.
When You want to use it with DSLR camera or Computer / laptop just insert the small battery cell provided with the mic in the socket of cell. And turn the button to camera mode. How Much Durable is Boya By-M1
Well according to me, its not so durable because the quality of wire is just okay! Not too strong. If you accidently stretched the wire, it will broke and you will get a loss. So be careful while dealing with cable and try to fix it on a place just and not to carry it frequently. The length is big so the risk is more for the wire to broke, be careful. The Connector is 3.5mm audio jack and is made up of Copper as we can see the color of pin is yellowish so I hope it will be copper. Some technical concepts about Boya microphone is that it uses a small circuit to remove some noise from your voice recording and then transmits that filtered signal to your Mobile or Camera. You can see in images there is a round black component in the middle of wire definitely for a purpose. The voice quality is good but you have to use some filters and other modifications to make your voice sound like a professional. The Microphone sensor is of normal size as other lavalier microphones are but with the filter its performance is better than others.
